Family Farm - from our family to yours
Our family enjoys raising animals both for food and because we enjoy caring for them. We have cattle for milk, meat, and other dairy products, and chickens for eggs and for selling hatching eggs, chicks, and mature chickens from time to time. We find great joy in knowing that our food source has been raised in the best way possible with love and care. They have lived a happy and easy life and it is a great comfort to know that we are nurturing our bodies with what we have, ourselves, nurtured and loved. Some of the products we offer are listed below and linked to pages where you can find more details. If you ever have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us - 540-849-5718.
Farm Fresh Raw Milk
Meet Cocoa, our family milk cow. She was born on December 7, 2017, and came to live with our family at about 2 weeks old. She is, what I lovingly refer to as, a dairy mutt. She is 50% NZ Fresian, 25% Holstein, 12.5% Brown Swiss, and 12.5% Swedish Red & White. She produces A2 milk - click HERE for more information on A2 milk. She is the leader of our little herd and loves her human mama. Cocoa is a great mother and has had a very healthy life!
Buttermints
Delicious, melt-in-your-mouth, homemade buttermints! These mints are made with farm fresh cream from our raw milk, powdered sugar, butter, and pure mint extract. They make wonderful gifts and have been a lovely addition to what we offer to the community!
Baby Chicks
For the past two years, we have been growing flocks of specific breeds of chickens and we are finally ready to offer them to you. We have Polish, Cream Legbar, Black Copper Marans, Speckled Sussex, and Olive Egger. We will be hatching at different times during the warm months, so stay tuned.
Hatching Eggs
We are so pleased to be able to offer hatching eggs! We currently have the following breeds:
Cream Legbar - a beautiful blue egg, auto-sexing at hatch
Black Copper Marans - a very dark, chocolate colored egg. Our stock originated from Thornfield Poultry in NC.
Speckled Sussex - a large, light brown egg. Prolific layers and beautiful speckled feather pattern.
Polish - these are like candy, you can't have just one! We have frizzle and smooth, in a variety of colors.
