Wilbur was a Holstein bull calf who was born in late February 2017. He came from a livestock auction with the purpose of growing up a little bit and being sold. He was not very healthy when he arrived and we decided to "rescue" him from being sold, try to get him healthy and keep him as a pet. After several months of various treatments and the generosity of friends and family, he was evaluated by a vet. After her careful assessment, it was determined that the illness he suffered from, "joint ill", had done too much damage to his joints, not to mention scar tissue in his lungs. Even though he didn't really show it, he was in a lot of pain and the best thing for him was to let him peacefully leave the comfort of our care and be healed by the one who can make him truly whole. I can't even begin to explain how honored I have been to have people caring so much for this little cow that captured my heart. My whole family has learned and grown through this experience. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, for joining us on this journey.
Job 12:7-10 “But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this?
In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.”
